Manuel is an independent journalist and videographer based in Bogota, where he produces breaking news stories and features for international current affairs programs.
He also scripts, shoots and edits videos for organizations that want to increase their footprint on social media and spark conversations about the issues they are working on.
With more than a decade in the news business, Manuel has produced stories throughout Latin America for broadcasters in the United States, Canada and Europe. He has also worked as a producer and shooter for international documentary companies.
Manuel has visited more than 45 countries and loves travelling to new locations. He recently hiked the Camino de Santiago and wrote a chapter for Lonely Planet’s Colombia guidebook.
EXPERIENCE
Manuel has been based in Bogota since 2015. Prior to that he worked as a correspondent for Univision in Mexico City.
Manuel has a Masters in journalism from Columbia University and a political science degree from the University of Virginia.
